2 days around the Lake District covering Blea Tarn, Slaters bridge, Wastwater, Keswick and Ullswater.
Goit Stock Waterfalls
A quick trip down to Goit Stock Falls over lunchtime to grab a few images. I got wet feet but had a lots of fun! Tried out my new 6 stop ND filter to help create the smooth water.
Dunstanburgh Castle
This shot was one of my most planned shots ever! The tide has to be at the ‘death rocks’ precisely at the same time the sun is rising and then we must have calm high clouds! It was a 3,5 hour drive from home to arrive at 7am in the morning in total darkness. Whilst driving I was driving through mist, fog, rain and then clear skies but I carried on driving and Im happy I did. This shot went on to receive an award and be included in the annual YPU (Yorkshire Photographic Exhibition).
Redbrook reservoir sunrise
Up and out the house on a cold frosty morning hoping to grab a shot of the Redbrook reservoir in Marsden, Huddersfield. The shot was planned to coincide with where the sun was at time that of year. This shot went on to gain joint second place in my first ever entry into an international photographic competition with Bradford Photographic Society.
Lake District – Buttermere and the surrounding area
A few days around in one of the most beautiful parts of the Lake District. Buttermere.
