Description
‘Storm Over Storr’ Isle of Skye, Scotland.
Driving back from an early morning sunrise shoot on the Old Man of Storr we just had to stop at Loch Fada. The Loch was like a mirror, unusually calm with no wind or ripples, so the ideal time to capture the Old Man of Storr in the water reflection but it was the approaching clouds that then drew my attention more.
On the Isle of Skye the weather changes every 20 minutes if not sooner and what we were stood in was most probably the calm before the storm.
The Old Man of Storr (the pointed rocks on the hill) are just under 2500 feet above sea level so you can see the scale of the storm approaching. To me it looks like the storm has 2 hands coming down to grip Storr.
