‘Snowy Blackrock Cottage’ Glencoe, Scotland
Following a night of heavy snowfall in Glencoe in the Scottish Highlands, I only had one image in mind that I wanted to capture before any footprints were made in the snow, and it was of this old cottage. Blackrock Cottage has been home to the Ladies Scottish Climbing Club, which was founded in 1908. The backdrop of Buachaille Etive Mor makes the snow scene picturesque. To get there was a difficult trek up the single track road deep with snow, but I’m definitely glad I made the journey. A truly stunning unspoiled scene.
