Wandering around my garden during the coronavirus lockdown I found myself looking for anything to photograph one afternoon. I eventually settled on our laurel hedge, there had been a rain shower not long before and I loved the water droplets still sitting on the leaves. I took several exposure readings to try highlight certain areas on the leaves and darken others.
It’s a photograph obtained from pure boredom after several weeks in lockdown, something different to my usual style but I still like it and I absolutely love the beautiful tones and textures throughout the image producing a mundane part of the garden into a lovely black and white fine art image.
