Yes I know it’s one of the most photographed trees in the UK but lets see if we can get something a little bit different shall we. I was using the early 1950’s MPP Micro Technical MkIV4x5 large format camera and I had some Fomapan 100 with me loaded up. The weather was slowly turning for the worst and the light slipping away. I metered for a shot that I though would empathise the tree and not much more, yes it was underexposed but this was going to be something different to the billion other shots of a glorious sunrise. I am so eager to see what large format can give me and I’ve been inspired by so many other large format photographers so here it is. I love it.
I love taking photos of the what I see under the dark cloth and below is the final image.
I have listed this image for sale in my shop if you would like to purchase a fine art print or handmade canvas.
